Evaluating whether a lifestyle change can help people lose weight and reduce a risk of Type 2 Diabetes via healthy eating and physical activity
This is a 12-month study that aims to assess the effects and sustainability of a digitally-based diabetes prevention program for adults with obesity at risk for Type 2 diabetes.
Approximately 1 in 3 American adults have prediabetes. However, more than 80% of those individuals don’t know they have prediabetes. Studies have shown that a moderate amount of weight loss achieved by reducing total caloric intake and increasing physical activity can prevent or delay the onset of Type 2 diabetes.
